Entertaining Kids on the Road
  1. Books: A diverse selection of books provided a literary escape for the kids, sparking their imaginations during the long drives.
  2. Magnetic Games: Compact and engaging, magnetic games offered a playful distraction, turning the backseat into a zone of fun.
  3. Drawing and Coloring Materials: A variety of drawing and coloring materials transformed quiet moments into bursts of creativity, making the journey as enjoyable as the destination.
  4. Cameras: Child-friendly cameras, like a GoPro, kept the boys engaged in the journey by allowing them to capture the journey through their eyes.

Essential Gear
  1. Water Jug and Faucet Combination: In the midst of the vast landscapes of British Columbia, the Yukon Territory, and Alaska, staying hydrated became a daily necessity. The Dometic GO water jug and faucet combination became our reliable companion, providing a seamless source of clean water. The perfect size for our family, it endured the dusty roads and bumpy trails, ensuring that hydration was one less thing to worry about as we navigated through the challenges each day presented.
  2. Camp Chairs: After navigating through potholed roads and gravel stretches, evenings around the campfire were a sanctuary. Dometic's compact camp chairs proved to be more than just comfortable; they were a refuge after overcoming daily hurdles. Sturdy and resilient, they cradled us in relaxation, offering a well-deserved reprieve from the physical demands of the journey.
  3. Dual Zone Electric Cooler: As wildfires threatened our route and weather conditions swung from sunshine to rain, the Dometic CFX3 75DZ dual-zone electric cooler became our food preservation lifeline. With its efficient cooling system, we stocked up on supplies, reducing our dependence on sporadic stops. This resilience was particularly crucial as we traversed through the unpredictable climates of the Yukon and Alaska, ensuring our provisions stayed fresh and edible.
  4. Rooftop Tent: In the face of the Alaskan wilderness, setting up camp became a daily routine. Dometic's TRT 140 AIR rooftop tent simplified this process, proving its worth as we encountered wildlife and weather challenges. With a midsize truck as our trusty steed, the tent's easy setup and durability became paramount, providing a secure haven amidst the untamed landscapes.
